BitDefender Sphere vs Total Security

BitDefender is the top rated Antivirus in Market today. It has a tidy line of products which suits the requirements of Home as well as Corporate users. Now, if you are confused between Security Packs like BitDefender Antivirus, Internet Security, Total Security and Sphere then in this article, you understand whats the difference between these packs.

Well, Antivirus is just a scanner tool for scanning and protecting your system from viruses and malicious software. It is mostly confined to protecting your system locally and does not monitor any of your online activities and threats.

Internet Security Packs on other hand deal with online threats like checking URL safety, Phishing protection, email protection, blocking Malware websites etc. This pack is mostly preferred by people who work Online with considerable tasks like Banking, shopping etc.

A Total Security pack is a combination of the above two. It provides you with an advance security along with firewall and system optimization tools.

Here is Comparison

Practically there is no difference between these packs. Sphere is not a product but a scheme.

In Bitdefender Sphere, you have to buy only one key which provides protection to your Windows PC, MAC OS and Android i.e Overall protection. These are all included in the same pack. Sphere has BitDefender Total Security, BitDefender for Android and Mac. While just the Total Security pack does not offer this facility either you have to buy for 3 PC/5 PC etc.

So, if you have cross platform devices at your home/ office, definitely go for Sphere.

So to make this perfectly clear, BitDefender Sphere has ALL of the features from BitDefender Total Security, BitDefender Antivirus Mac, and BitDefender Mobile Security? And is it all 2014 or 2013?

So If I get Sphere for a PC, the only features that will be used will be from Total Security. If I use Sphere on a Mac, the only part that will be used is Antivirus Mac. And If I use Sphere for my Android, then only the Mobile Security will be used. But it includes the FULL features from each one, correct?

You said “A Total Security pack is a combination of the above two.” So does BitDefender Total Security have all of the features from Internet Security and Antivirus, or only just a selected combination?

Thank you very much in advance for you understanding, the comparisons are always the hardest for me to understand.

      Yes.

And is it all 2014 or 2013?
It is latest version (2014 at the moment). If there is an upgrade before your subscription ends, you can get further version too without paying extra.

So If I get Sphere for a PC, the only features that will be used will be from Total Security.
      Yes.

If I use Sphere on a Mac, the only part that will be used is Antivirus Mac. And If I use Sphere for my Android, then only the Mobile Security will be used. But it includes the FULL features from each one, correct?

With each Sphere License you purchase, you can protect an UNLIMITED number of PCs, Macs, Smartphones or Tablets for up to 3 users living in the same household. YES, it includes all the features.

You said “A Total Security pack is a combination of the above two.” So does BitDefender Total Security have all of the features from Internet Security and Antivirus, or only just a selected combination?

Total security is the highest version which has some extra including Antivirus Plus and Internet Security’s features. That’s the reason it is called “Total” security.

Hope my answers have cleared your confusions. Let me know if you want to know anything else.
